Cape May Point Parks on the Air Activation Sunday Feb 09th 11:00-1:00PM Parks on The Air AA2SD

Thanks to all operators for activating Cape May Point last weekend. I was able to make over (10) contacts on 6 Mtrs, and test my portable new mast set up. I am using a Diamond HB9CV- 2  element beam. I also tested aluminum military surplus masts that consist of 4 portable sections which are pinned together, the total height was just over 17feet. This very lightweight and portable setup  easily fit into the back compartment of my Outback while broken down. I used a FT891 with 50 watts and no amplifier. I also activated the park with HF on 20 and 7 Mtrs with 50 contacts during Saturday and 35 contacts Sunday using a Yaesu ATAS120 screwdriver antenna. This location is at Cape May Point in the back parking lot of the gift shop, which is ideal for near the beach saltwater lift on HF.

Fellow Club Members and Operators, let's get in a QSO before the Superbowl. I will be activating Cape May Point this Sunday working 6 Mtrs SSB with a 2 element beam Horizontal starting on 50.130 GridSquare FM28MW36  . I will also be activating on 40 Mtrs and 20 Mtrs with an end fed HF antenna.
