Ham Radio DX HRDX video In this video I will show how to build a simple ham radio antenna for 10 Meters using just one piece of coax and some wire. So... let's build a 28 MHz vertical antenna to work some of the DX and not miss out! 10 Meters has been going gangbusters with signals lately! You can also build this for 27 MHz CB, just modify it a little and make it slightly longer.
I built and tested this version with good results from the Cape May Lighthouse. No tuner with an RF choke at the end of the antenna and tuned to 28.400. I experienced excellent West Coast contacts to Washington State, Arizona, California and New Mexico.
A Simple coax antenna built from RG58 and tuned to 28.400. This antenna demonstrated very good long distance contacts from the Southern tip of Cape May NJ during my last Parks on the Air Test
